"After I left school, I completed a two year YTS in computer programming before joining Harmony as a cash register service engineer. My computer programming knowledge enabled me to program new systems very quickly, consequently this became my main task for a number of years. The Sales Manager at the time thought I should have a crack at cash register and EPOS sales, which turned out to be my calling. During my time in the EPoS trade I have enjoyed keeping up-to-date with the ever-evolving technology and software available. And now as managing director I can take us in to a bright future.
In my spare time I enjoy cycling, snooker, pool & crown green bowling (younger people do play bowls, honest)!"

“Having joined Harmony in the autumn of 1986 on a YTS scheme, I spent the first few years on the catering side of the business. I then decided there was far too much heavy lifting and lying on kitchen floors for my liking, so for the last 24 years I have been on the EPOS side of the company.
My main duties are the running of the service department, repairs, ordering, installation of hardware programming, telephone support and the general day to day running of the EPOS department.
I’ve been happily married for 18 years and have two boys at secondary school. (I know what you’re thinking “but he looks so young!)
Outside of work I’m involved with Kendal Town FC so most home games I can be found stewarding at the Parkside Road Stadium. I also still play a bit of Sunday league football and during the summer months I enjoy cycling to and from work."

"As an EPOS Engineer I setup, install and repair all aspects of EPOS Systems and cash registers including the repair, service, training and support of Back Office software.
I have a background in IT having worked for two IT companies in Kendal, Cumbria before joining Harmony. I have been with Harmony now for 12 years.
In my free time I enjoy walking/geocaching with my family and I volunteer as a Scout Leader at my local Scout group which takes up what ever free time I have left over."
